I have a brother (Reilly) who's playing at Duke right now and another brother who graduated from Wesleyan playing lacrosse and the other two played club. Lacrosse is probably the biggest sport in my family and still is. ![]() I have four older brothers and they're all involved with sports. TJN: How did you get involved with lacrosse?ĮW: I grew up watching my brothers play. We've only lost one game to Notre Dame Prep which is the second best team in the country. We've definitely improved since last year and we're going strong. We're just trying to keep up our mentality and momentum going into the postseason and we're hoping that we have enough experience to make it far in the season. The Journal News: How's the lacrosse season going?Įllie Walsh: It's going pretty well so far. She's volunteered her time with One Love Foundation Fundraiser, Hearts to Home fundraiser and Tommy Cares. She mentored a third-grade student last year. She's volunteered with Harlem Youth Lacrosse. She's volunteered with the Broncos Basketball and Lacrosse clinics. As a a part of Bronxville, Walsh a student ambassador to JBFC Orphanage in Tanzania last summer. She's a freshman transition leader who helped the freshman adjust to high school life. She's the team leader/business manager of the yearbook. After school, Walsh is the vice president of the Bronxville Athletic Council. She's enrolled in Humanities Research which is a high level research and action class. She's taking Honors and Advanced Placements courses including AP Studio Art and AP Art History, and AP Calculus AB. She's going to Cornell next year and is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences to major in Global Health and Public Science and to minor in business. ![]() Academic accomplishment: Walsh has a 3.43 GPA.
